Join me in my element, my wild medicine garden, for an appreciate deep dive into some of the more common and accessible herbs around us. Dandelion, Violet, Cleavers and Nettles. Some call them weeds, I call them old friends. We will be exploring the traditional applications of these ‘spring tonic’ herbs as food and remedies. Come immerse yourself in my 1/2 acre backyard and get up close and personal with some “old friends”. There will be a table set up with samples and demonstrations of recipes and remedies and participants will be invited to taste, touch, and smell these familiar medicinals. We will also cover a bit of history, botany and folklore. Each participant will receive a copy of the revised Backyard Herbalism: A new way to look at old friends zine to take home.

Pre-register here if you are able to pay the full cost tuition of $40. All are welcome and if you will be paying on the sliding scale ($20-39, you select what you are able to afford) you can pay day-of in person or venmo me @arise-botanicals.
