Now scheduling appointments for new client intake sessions. Send me a message to get started.

Please read over updated information below related to pricing, scheduling and what to expect when working with an herbalist.

consultations

In my work as a clinical herbalist, my passion is providing holistic health guidance to support and strengthen our community at-large and the ecosystems we're woven into. I work with herbs, nutrition, dietary supplements, rituals and daily routine shifts (lifestyle changes) to educate and empower my clients to further take charge of their own health and to deepen into relationship with the plant life around us.

Working with an herbalist is gaining an ally to listen and offer feedback; to look at the big picture (and the roots) of your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health; to decipher the often confusing world of holistic and plant based remedies; and to support you every step of the way as you gain more agency in owning your health.

Consultations can also be a space to discuss the care you provide for others in your life (children, elders, disabled loved ones) and how to best incorporate herbal and nutritional remedies into your ongoing care work.

My herbal consultations are well suited for people who are ready to incorporate new remedies, routines and rituals into their day-to-day. Every client I work with is delightfully unique and this process looks different for everyone. My goal is to offer you clarity and confidence in growing towards your personal wellness goals by providing ongoing support, practical education and plant-based remedies.

What to expect

Herbal consultations are one-on-one conversations where I learn about your current symptoms and health history and listen to your questions and concerns. Understanding your current health concerns, then working with you to develop accessible and impactful goals and strategies to remedy your health concerns is my priority. I will share insights, strategies and custom formulations to support you in making well informed decisions to improve your overall wellbeing.

An initial consultation is a conversation that lasts 1-2 hours and includes:

  • An in depth intake and review of your health history.

  • Education around beneficial herbal therapeutics and nutritional support strategies, along with suggestions for daily routine shifts to address your current health concerns.

  • Research centered around your health history, current symptoms, concerns and goals.

  • A personalized Wellness Plan emailed to you 2-5 business days after your appointment.

  • A 45minute follow up appointment (3-6 weeks after your intake) is included the price of the initial consultation.

This is a collaborative relationship. You are the expert on living in your body and I look forward to supporting you in better health with herbal and nutritional therapeutics and grounded wisdom from the plant world.

When you contact me to set up an appointment, I will email you the forms that make up my Welcome Packet. I ask these documents are completed at least 48 hours before we are scheduled to meet.

Where will we meet? As I'm renovating my new studio in the wake of the fire at my Sage House office space, I am currently offering herbal consultations via zoom, in nature (weather permitting) and in Lincoln I also offer house calls. Outdoor sessions can be held in my garden (May - October) or at a local park where we can ramble while we chat. Please let me know which option will best fit your needs.

follow-up

As you consider working with me, please keep in mind that more than one visit is expected to progress. Follow up sessions are 45minutes and I recommend scheduling within 3-6 weeks of your intake appointment. The first follow up appointment is free and included in the cost of the initial consultation.

Follow-up appointments are vital to the practice and process of working with an herbalist.  We are all very unique in our lived experiences and lineages and I take this into account along with a constantly evolving approach to formulations and recommendations for daily practices.  Collaborative adaptation yields wonderful results in addressing chronic health concerns.

pricing

Intake sessions are priced on a sliding scale of $90-150 which includes your first 45min follow up session. Additional follow up sessions are priced at $40-80 (sliding scale). The consultation fee includes custom formulation services. Herbal products (custom blends or remedies from the menu) are available at an additional cost.

No income verification is needed.  You decide what you are able to pay based on your financial resources.  A sliding scale is a tool that, when implemented effectively, results in everyone paying a similar percentage of their income, while honoring my time.  You can download my sliding scale guideline to help you determine how much to pay. If cost is a barrier I am open to trade or payment-plans. Please don't hesitate to discuss any questions you may have regarding access needs, payment options or otherwise.

Unless we have created a payment plan together, payment in full is expected at the time of service. I accept cash, checks (made out to Arise Botanicals), Venmo (@Arise-Botanicals) or PayPal (invoicing available for payment by credit or debit card).

I offer practitioner quality supplements at wholesale pricing to all of my clients. Whether you’re looking for more affordable prices for supplements you already work with or you’re interested trying new supplements, I’m happy to help. I carry a variety of options in my apothecary (available for local pickup) or I can ship supplements to your door via Emerson Ecologics.

Scope of Practice

As an herbalist, I hold compassionate healing space for any client I see and that includes knowing when I can’t help. If someone comes to me with a need or situation best suited to a different kind of practitioner, I will refer that client out.

It’s important to note that herbalists in the U.S. are not licensed and I am not a doctor or a therapist. I do not diagnose or offer prescriptions; I share knowledge and experience. Additionally, while I offer nutritional guidance, I do not create custom dietary plans.

A full statement of informed disclosure for new clients to read over and sign is part of forms that make up my Welcome Packet.

Scheduling an appointment

To schedule an intake, please get in touch and let me know the nature of your health concerns via the form on the contact page.  I will respond as soon as possible and send you the forms that make up my welcome packet.

I look forward to working with you!
