Are you wanting to deepen into Spring? Join us on Saturday May 13th from 2-5pm, for a relaxing and educational afternoon event at Rock Creek ReTreet Center. This beautiful acreage is located off highway 77, south of Ceresco (address will be provided upon registration).

Immerse your senses in the emerging season with a guided plant walk where we will identify and admire spring ephemerals and common medicinal ‘weeds'. There will also be a hands-on activity where all participants will be invited to prepare herbal remedies to take home with fresh plants, following traditional recipes. The Backyard Herbalism zine along with other informational handouts will be given to all attendees as well.

Our pace will be slow and restorative as we land together to share nourishing wild food and beverages made with locally grown and foraged plants.

Registration is limited to 20 people. Those who have already pre-registered expressed that this is a space to take time for themselves or a gift for the mothers in their life. We are looking forward to celebrating the season together this Mother’s Day weekend.

Accessibility information: This will be an outdoor event and layering to dress for the weather is highly recommended. Parking for all participants is along the driveway, near the house. We will be gathering, then walking at a slow pace on a nature trail, stopping along the way to admire and discuss the plants we see. Options for seating will be available during most of the event. There is a newly installed composting outhouse that will be available for bathroom use. If you have any questions or specific requests regarding access needs, please get in touch and we will do our very best to accommodate.

Covid policy: This will be an outdoor event where masking is optional. If you are feeling ill, I thank you for staying home. Refunds are available up to 48 hours before the event.
