Herbal Support for Anxiety - 2/9/20

$30.00

Sunday, February 9th

1-4pm

The Sage House (1834 Ryons St, Lincoln)

This is the first in the three-part series Herbal Support for Trying Times. This class will focus on individual herbs, their personalities and applications in addressing symptoms of anxiety.

Herbal remedies create space for catching your breath while nourishing an overwrought nervous system. Chronic stress, fear, sadness, overwhelm and despondency are a common lens through which many of us are navigating a world that often feels unsafe and uncertain. I don't have answers for you, just resources that have helped myself and others I’ve supported find strength and beauty in difficult times times, again and again.

In this series of hands-on classes we'll explore herbal remedies and their ability to address the individual and the collective experience of living with mental health conditions (diagnosed or symptomatic, but nonetheless real).  Disclaimer: I am not a therapist, just a human who's leaned deep into the earth for lessons and support through some rough times.  We all have survival stories and strategies to tell.  What's your's?

I will be discussing the physical and energetic properties of a number of herbs as well as other accessible holistic strategies that provide foundational and immediate support for symptoms of anxiety.  I'm not here to gaslight you ("you shouldn't be this way, here's how to fix it") because it's not about a fix.  We're always becoming.  And if group settings aren't you're thing, contact me for a one-on-one conversation where we can tailor remedies and rituals to your specific situation.

Herbal tea will be provided and each participant will receive a detailed info packet so you don't need to stress on remembering all the herbal knowledge shared. Items from the Arise apothecary will also be available for sampling and purchase.
